Teams end up with isolated canvas apps, approval flows that break the first time a process changes, and portals never connected to business data. Licences are paid for, requests still land on the IT team, and Copilot agents never leave the demo stage. This course teaches you to assemble Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse and Copilot Studio into one coherent, governed solution.

Three days from business idea to intelligent application

The official Microsoft programme covers 17 modules. You model your data in Dataverse, secure access through security roles and teams, build canvas and model-driven applications, publish a Power Pages site, automate approvals with Power Automate, then ground AI Builder prompts on your own data. Labs use scenarios close to real projects, led by a certified trainer, in Geneva or Lausanne. You leave able to design, secure and ship an intelligent application end to end, and ready for the AB-410 exam.

[1488,1494
1262,2831
post-254456","formations","type-formations","status-publish","hentry","editeurs-microsoft","editeurs-power-platform-microsoft","domaine-development","domaine-no-code-development
["Intermédiaire

Certifiant

Genève","Lausanne
presentiel","virtuel
["Temptraining

Build Platform Functional Consultant, on 31 July 2026. AB-410 is its official successor, and the shift goes well beyond a new code. Where PL-200 trained a consultant to configure a platform, AB-410 trains a builder of intelligent applications. The focus moves to assembly: a canvas or model-driven app, a Power Pages portal, Power Automate flows, Copilot Studio agents and AI Builder prompts grounded on company data, all inside one solution you can ship and maintain.

What changes compared with PL-200

The programme keeps the essential foundations: Dataverse, tables, columns, relationships, auditing, security roles and teams. It then adds a layer PL-200 never covered. You learn to design solutions that are AI-first from the start, to practise prompt engineering, to use plans that turn a business idea into a Power Platform solution, to convert a flow into an agent flow, and to add agents inside a model-driven app as well as on a Power Pages site. The pace is demanding: 17 official modules across three days, with labs at every stage.

The Intelligent Applications Builder Associate certification

The AB-410 exam leads to the Microsoft Certified: Intelligent Applications Builder Associate certification, which replaces Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate. The change matters for already certified profiles: the existing badge does not vanish, but what employers now expect includes agents and generative AI. Sitting AB-410 therefore refreshes a certification earned before this transition, with a job title that matches current practice. Exam registration is handled separately with Microsoft, and sitting it stays optional: many participants take the course for the skills first and decide afterwards.

The Swiss market context

In French-speaking Switzerland, Power Platform spread organically through cantonal administrations, international organisations, private banks and industrial SMEs. One department builds an app, another copies it, and the estate grows without governance. Adoption is no longer the issue: quality and access control are. Employers look for people able to take over that estate, model it properly in Dataverse and open it to AI without exposing sensitive data. Data protection requirements, tightened by the revised Swiss FADP, make the modules on security roles, teams and Power Pages security immediately useful.

What you build during the three days

A secured Dataverse data model with relationships, auditing and roles

A customised canvas app, published and shared

A model-driven app with forms, views, charts and dashboards

A secured Power Pages site with an AI-powered agent

Power Automate flows, including an approval flow and an agent flow

Where AB-410 sits in the ITTA Power Platform path

AB-410 targets people already familiar with the platform. If Power Apps and Power Automate are new to you, start with the Introduction to Microsoft Power Platform (PL-900) training, which sets the vocabulary and takes each building block one at a time. At the other end of the path, if your need is about code, plug-ins, APIs and deep extensibility, the Power Platform Developer (PL-400) training takes over. AB-410 holds the middle ground, the one most in demand today: building complete, intelligent solutions without writing application code.

Guided training versus self-study

The matching Microsoft Learn modules are freely available and many people try the path alone. Theory is rarely the problem; realistic situations are. A canvas app always works on sample data, then behaves very differently once you need delegation, differentiated roles, a multi-level approval flow and an agent that must answer from internal content. In the classroom, a certified trainer shows you why a Power Fx formula slows down, why a grounded prompt returns an empty answer, and how to fix both. The three days mostly save you from habits that take months to unlearn.

After the training

The most effective follow-up is to take an existing application in your organisation and rebuild it properly: data model, security, then an agent where it genuinely adds value. Document your choices, measure the time saved, and you have the internal case to scale. If you plan to sit the exam, allow two to three weeks of practice after the course before booking it. ITTA trainers stay reachable to frame a first project or to arbitrate an architecture choice between canvas app, model-driven app and Power Pages site.

FAQ Build intelligent applications (AB-410)

Does AB-410 really replace PL-200?

Yes. Microsoft retired PL-200 on 31 July 2026 and positions AB-410 as its successor. The scope is not identical: AB-410 emphasises building intelligent applications and working with agents, where PL-200 stayed focused on the functional consultant role.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The course stays within the low-code scope. You write Power Fx formulas and configure components, without classic development. For plug-ins, APIs and custom code, the logical next step is the Power Platform Developer (PL-400) training.

I hold the PL-200 certification, should I sit a new exam?

Your certification stays valid, but its title maps to a framework that is no longer maintained. Sitting AB-410 aligns you with the Microsoft Certified: Intelligent Applications Builder Associate certification and covers the AI topics your original path never included.

Are three days enough for 17 modules?

The pace is fast and assumes the stated prerequisites. Participants who have never opened Power Apps benefit from taking PL-900 first: they then get full value from the labs instead of discovering the interface during the course.

Is the training available remotely?

Yes. The course runs on site in Geneva and Lausanne, and as a virtual classroom. Content, labs and trainer support are identical in both formats.

Training provided by a certified trainer

180 days of access to Official Microsoft Labs

Official documentation in digital format

Official Microsoft achievement badge

Training provided by a certified trainer

180 days of access to Official Microsoft Labs

Official documentation in digital format

Official Microsoft achievement badge

Build Intelligent Applications (AB-410) Training - ITTA

<meta name="description" content="AB-410 training: build intelligent Power Platform applications. 3 days, 17 official modules, hands-on labs in Geneva.
