Microsoft has replaced the previous AI-900 course with the AI-901 program to reflect the central role of generative AI and Microsoft Copilot in the Azure ecosystem. AI-901 remains accessible to beginners with no technical prerequisites, while integrating the new services and concepts that dominate the market today.

The program covers the main AI workloads in Azure: prediction (supervised machine learning), vision (image analysis, OCR, object detection), language (entity extraction, sentiment, translation), speech (recognition, synthesis), Document Intelligence (form and invoice extraction) and generative AI (Azure OpenAI, Copilot).
