Delegate work with AI (AB-6008) Training

This Microsoft Copilot delegation training shows you how to hand real work over to Microsoft 365 Copilot instead of doing it yourself. Released by Microsoft on 28 August 2026, AB-6008 is the shortest course in the catalogue: half a day, built for business users who want results without a technical detour. You explore Copilot Cowork, the space where you state an outcome rather than a list of instructions, and you find out exactly what the assistant can handle on its own.

Hand your repetitive tasks to AI

The course starts from situations you face every day: an overflowing inbox, a week to plan, meetings to prepare and then follow up. You learn to write a clear request, to check what Copilot produces, and to automate whatever keeps coming back. No administrator skills are expected, everyday use of Microsoft 365 is enough to follow the session and leave with routines you can apply the next morning.

Additional Information

Half a day, immediate use

AB-6008 holds a distinctive place in the Microsoft catalogue: it runs for half a day where most AI courses spread over one or several days. The format answers a plain request from Swiss companies, free a team for a morning rather than a week. The content is therefore tightened around the actions you repeat daily, with no detour through architecture or service configuration.

Short does not mean shallow. The three official modules cover how Copilot Cowork works, how to move from a prompt to a goal, and how to automate recurring tasks. You leave with requests you wrote yourself and tested against your own cases.

What delegation changes in a working day

Delegating to AI is not asking a question and copying the answer. It means handing over an expected outcome, describing the useful context, and letting the tool chain the steps. Inbox triage is the clearest example: instead of reading a hundred messages, you ask what needs an answer today and what can wait until next week.

Meeting preparation follows the same logic. Copilot gathers previous exchanges, related documents and open points, then suggests an agenda. After the meeting it drafts the notes and lists the actions. Follow-up, usually the weak link, becomes a reviewing task rather than a writing task.

A favourable Swiss context

Microsoft 365 is already deployed across most Swiss SMEs and public bodies. The challenge is no longer the tool but the usage: many Copilot licences stay underused for lack of concrete reference points. Organisations in Geneva and Lausanne look for short formats able to reach whole teams without stalling production.

Data control comes up in every classroom. The course covers the guardrails and limitations stated by Microsoft, what the assistant sees of your working environment and what it does not. You leave with a clear view of what can be delegated and what must stay under human validation.

Where it sits among ITTA AI courses

AB-6008 is an entry point. To go further on how requests are built, Craft effective prompts for Microsoft 365 Copilot (MS-4005) digs into instruction design and result refinement. To move from an individual habit to a team process, Transform business workflows with generative AI (AB-730) covers complete workflows over a full day.

The three courses complement each other without overlapping: the first installs daily usage, the second sharpens the quality of your exchanges with the assistant, the third organises process transformation.

Compared with self-study

Online resources exist and cost nothing. What they do not give is immediate feedback on your own requests. In the classroom a trainer corrects the wording, explains why a result disappoints and demonstrates the alternative on a real case. Participants also compare practices across departments, which often saves more time than the material itself.

After the training

Pick two recurring tasks and delegate them to Copilot for two weeks before adding more. Note what works first time and what needs rewording: that notebook becomes your reusable request library. Share it with colleagues, it is the fastest way to spread the habit across a team.

FAQ

Do I need a technical background to attend?

No. The course is aimed at business users. If you work with Outlook, Teams and Word every day, you meet the requirements. Administration and development topics are not covered.

Is half a day really enough?

Yes for this scope. The programme focuses on concrete use cases and leaves configuration aside. Participants who want more usually continue with MS-4005.

Do I need a Copilot licence?

The session runs in an environment provided for the class. To apply what you learn afterwards, an active Microsoft 365 Copilot licence in your organisation is required.

Is the course available remotely?

Yes. It is delivered on site in Geneva and Lausanne and as a virtual classroom, with the same trainer and the same exercises.
