Plan 3 introduces planning mechanisms typically found in professional tools like Microsoft Project. Training covers baseline setup, tracking variance between planned and actual progress, critical path identification, and roadmap tools for strategic project visibility.
You will learn to produce reliable landing forecasts and integrate approved changes into the baseline without losing traceability of project decisions.
Resource management is one of Plan 3’s key strengths. Training teaches you to assign resources, track their workload, and identify overloads. Cost management enables building a project budget and tracking financial execution.
Multi-project consolidation opens the way to an overall view for managing multiple interconnected projects, sharing resources, and producing aggregated reporting for management or steering committees.
Training targets project managers, coordinators, junior PMOs, and team leaders managing medium to high complexity projects. Good Microsoft 365 knowledge and prior experience with Planner Plan 1 or equivalent planning tool are recommended.

Must I complete Plan 1 training before Plan 3?
Experience with Planner Plan 1 or equivalent planning tool is recommended. Prior project management experience will facilitate absorption of advanced concepts.
Does Plan 3 replace Microsoft Project Desktop?
Plan 3 covers a wide range of Microsoft Project Desktop features for standard projects. For highly complex projects requiring fine-grained resource management or advanced tracking, Microsoft Project Desktop remains the reference. ITTA offers dedicated training (MSPM-30).
Is cost management covered in training?
Yes, budget setup and cost tracking are addressed in training. You will learn to define resource costs, track actual spending, and produce financial reports for stakeholders.
Is multi-project reporting covered?
