DevOps has become an essential standard in modern development teams. The generalisation of cloud-native architectures, the massive use of containers and microservices, and the pressure on delivery speed have profoundly transformed the developer profession. Swiss organisations actively recruit DevOps engineers, SREs and full-stack developers able to manage a CI/CD chain, deploy on Kubernetes and handle their infrastructure as code.
A recognised DevOps training opens access to structuring technical positions and to reference certifications: CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer), CKS (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist), HashiCorp Terraform Associate, Docker DCA and GitLab CI/CD Associate. Investing in a recognised DevOps certification enhances your profile in a segment where demand exceeds supply in French-speaking Switzerland, opening access to some of the most attractive salaries in the IT sector.
ITTA offers a catalogue of training courses in this sub-domain, delivered by cloud-native engineers active in production projects for Swiss and international organisations.
Whether you are a developer wishing to master Kubernetes, a system engineer evolving towards DevOps or a cloud architect industrialising the delivery chain, our training in Geneva and Lausanne provides the practical skills needed to manage modern cloud-native environments and access the most sought-after positions in the Swiss IT sector.
Kubernetes has become the container orchestration standard. Our training covers the CKA certification for Kubernetes administrators, CKAD for developers deploying their applications on Kubernetes, and CKS for cloud-native security oriented profiles. Docker remains the natural complement with the DCA certification (Docker Certified Associate). These courses suit cloud engineers, back-end developers, SREs and architects managing containerised architectures.
Infrastructure as code structures modern cloud environment management. Our Terraform training prepares for the HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification and covers modelling, modules, workspaces and production best practices. Ansible completes the toolkit for configuration management and automation of administrative tasks on Linux and Windows servers.
CI/CD pipelines are at the heart of modern DevOps. Our training covers GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins and pipeline design best practices (build, test, security, deployment). These courses target full-stack developers, DevOps engineers and architects industrialising the delivery chain of their applications. The GitLab CI/CD Associate certification is particularly valued for profiles managing enterprise GitLab platforms.
Observability (logs, metrics, traces) has become a central skill for SRE profiles. Our Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices training reinforce skills on production system monitoring, incident management and service reliability. These courses suit SRE engineers, DevOps and operations-oriented architects.
A back-end or full-stack developer wishing to add a DevOps dimension typically starts with CKAD (Kubernetes for developers) then Docker DCA. A system administrator evolving towards DevOps follows CKA then Terraform Associate. A security profile adds CKS after CKA to become a Kubernetes Security Specialist. An experienced SRE enriches their path with Prometheus, OpenTelemetry and advanced SRE practices. A cloud architect combines Terraform Associate, CKA and cloud certifications (Azure, AWS) to design complete cloud-native architectures.
Here is a selection of reference training courses in this catalogue, accessible directly:
DevOps is inherently cross-functional. Cloud computing training brings Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-305, AZ-400) and AWS (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineering) that naturally complement DevOps skills. The audit and cybersecurity domain reinforces the DevSecOps dimension with CompTIA Security+ and application security practices. Programming languages training deepens Python, Go and languages used in the cloud-native ecosystem. Methodology-oriented profiles complement with Agile and Scrum for the team dimension.
Our training makes you operational on the most used tools in production. Containers and orchestration: Docker for application packaging, Kubernetes for multi-cluster orchestration, Helm for chart management and Kustomize for declarative customisation. Infrastructure as code: Terraform and OpenTofu for cloud-agnostic modelling, Ansible for configuration management, Pulumi for IaC in classic languages. CI/CD: GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD for Kubernetes GitOps. Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, OpenTelemetry. This toolset is progressively integrated into the certification paths we deliver in Geneva and Lausanne.
Several evolutions structure DevOps in 2026. Shift-left security integrates controls from the beginning of the pipeline with DevSecOps. Native observability via OpenTelemetry progressively replaces proprietary solutions. GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux) industrialise Kubernetes production deployments. FinOps gains ground to optimise cloud costs, complementing performance and reliability. AI agents (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) transform the productivity of DevOps engineers, particularly on manifest writing and incident resolution.
All our DevOps training courses are available on-site in our Geneva (Route des Jeunes 35) and Lausanne (Avenue de Mon-Repos 24) centres, as well as in interactive virtual classroom. Our session calendar, organised in 5-week cycles, allows for swift registration. Our limited group sizes enable genuinely personalised pedagogical support, and each course includes hands-on labs on real Kubernetes clusters and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) depending on the programme.
ITTA is a certified training centre based in French-speaking Switzerland, official partner of CNCF, HashiCorp and Docker. Our trainers are cloud-native engineers active in production projects for Swiss and international organisations, allowing them to share current concrete cases and adjust content to your professional reality. The DevOps catalogue regroups our training courses covering the most recognised certifications. Several funding paths are possible according to your professional profile.
Where to start in DevOps in 2026?
For a developer, CKAD (Kubernetes for developers) is the most natural entry. For a system administrator, CKA is the reference. If you target infrastructure as code, Terraform Associate is accessible without Kubernetes prerequisites. Docker DCA remains an excellent complement to all cloud-native certifications.
How long to obtain the CKA certification?
The Kubernetes Administrator training lasts 4 to 5 days. CKAD and CKS require prior experience and similar preparation.
Do I need cloud experience before DevOps training?
Prior experience in Linux administration or development is recommended for CKA and CKAD. For complete beginners, start with AZ-900 or AWS Cloud Practitioner to acquire cloud basics, then Linux Essentials, before tackling Kubernetes or Terraform.
What professional funding options are available?
Several professional funding solutions can be considered depending on your situation and your employer. Our team helps you identify the options that fit your profile.
