Description

This 4-day course is the second level of LPIC-2 certification.

Participant profiles

Anyone to administer small and medium sized mixed networks with Linux
Anyone who is LPIC-1 certified and who is seeking LPIC-2 certification

Objectives

Configure BIND to function as a cached DNS server only
Create a zone file for a forward or reverse zone and tips for root-level servers
Configure a DNS server to function as a non-root user and run in a chroot jail
Install and configure a web server
Configure a Web server to provide the HTTPS protocol
Install and configure a proxy server, including access policies, authentication, and resource usage
Install and configure a reverse proxy server, Nginx
Set up a Samba server for different clients
Export file systems using NFS
Configure a DHCP server
Configure PAM to support authentication using various methods available.
Perform queries and updates on an LDAP server

Prerequisites

Be LPIC-1 certified
Or master the concepts covered by the following trainings: LPIC-1 101: Linux administrator I, LPIC-1 102: Linux administrator II, LPIC-2 201: Linux Engineer I
