Description

This 4-day course is the second level of LPIC-2 certification.

Participant profiles

  • Anyone to administer small and medium sized mixed networks with Linux
  • Anyone who is LPIC-1 certified and who is seeking LPIC-2 certification

Objectives

  • Configure BIND to function as a cached DNS server only
  • Create a zone file for a forward or reverse zone and tips for root-level servers
  • Configure a DNS server to function as a non-root user and run in a chroot jail
  • Install and configure a web server
  • Configure a Web server to provide the HTTPS protocol
  • Install and configure a proxy server, including access policies, authentication, and resource usage
  • Install and configure a reverse proxy server, Nginx
  • Set up a Samba server for different clients
  • Export file systems using NFS
  • Configure a DHCP server
  • Configure PAM to support authentication using various methods available.
  • Perform queries and updates on an LDAP server
