Description

The SAFe® Scrum Master course equips attendees to coach Agile teams to deliver business value at scale. The course teaches you the tactical skills needed to be an effective Scrum Master in a SAFe organization. It also gives you the guidance and tools necessary for working in remote environments with distributed teams. This training prepares you for the “SAFe® SSM” exam included in the course price.

Objectives

  • Gain an understanding of the Scrum Master role in a scaled agile organization.
  • Facilitate Scrum events.
  • Understand the planning and execution of a Program Increment (PI).
  • Facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Prepare for the “SAFe® Scrum Master (SSM)” exam.

Prerequisites

  • A familiarity with agility is a real asset, as well as an initial level of knowledge in Scrum / Kanban / eXtreme Programming (XP)
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in various project roles is expected
  • A good level of English is necessary to participate in the provided exercises

Course content

  • Scrum, especially in the context of SAFe
  • Role, responsibilities and characteristics of the Scrum Master
  • Interaction between team and program level, so-called Agile Release Train (ART)
  • Transparency about the progress of an iteration
  • Basic psychological knowledge and effective methods for coaching agile teams
