Additional information

The PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation and Practitioner training is designed for professionals seeking to enhance their project management skills by combining the rigor of PRINCE2® with the flexibility of agile methods. This training covers the key concepts of PRINCE2 Agile®, explaining how these two frameworks integrate harmoniously to offer more flexible project management while maintaining strict quality standards.

Understanding the key concepts of PRINCE2 Agile®

The first part of this training dives into the basics of PRINCE2®, a widely recognized project management framework. You will learn to:

  • Introduce and apply the principles of PRINCE2® in various contexts.
  • Understand the essential themes and processes of PRINCE2® for effective project management.
  • Master the use of PRINCE2® documentation to formalize key stages of a project.
  • Identify the responsibilities of PRINCE2® roles and their importance in ensuring clear task distribution within the team.

This part is fundamental for understanding how to structure a project before integrating agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean Start-up.

PRINCE2 Agile®: Combining agility and control

In an increasingly dynamic project environment, it is essential to combine the structure of PRINCE2® with agile methods. This training will show you how to:

  • Adapt the principles of PRINCE2® to an agile environment, ensuring your project remains under control while offering the necessary flexibility to quickly adapt to changes.
  • Apply the specific behaviors of PRINCE2 Agile® to facilitate communication, collaboration, and value delivery.
  • Identify and adapt PRINCE2® themes and processes for an agile context, considering different project dimensions such as time, costs, and quality.
  • Use agile methods to optimize your project performance while ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.

Agile methods in PRINCE2 Agile®

One of the strengths of PRINCE2 Agile® is its ability to effectively integrate various agile methodologies. You will learn how to:

  • Leverage agile techniques such as Scrum and Kanban to improve transparency and collaboration within the project team.
  • Develop a product backlog and track work progress using agile indicators, while maintaining rigorous control over costs and deadlines.
  • Apply product reviews and retrospectives to continually learn and improve with each iteration of the project.

Agile project management: Focus on roles and responsibilities

A crucial aspect of PRINCE2 Agile® is the clear definition of roles and responsibilities. In this training, you will understand how to combine the traditional roles of PRINCE2® with those of agile methods. This includes:

  • Ensuring smooth communication and effective delegation within the project team.
  • Maximizing quick and flexible decision-making in an agile environment while ensuring individual accountability for project product delivery.

Preparation for PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation and Practitioner exams

Finally, this training will prepare you for both certification exams (Foundation and Practitioner). You will be ready to demonstrate your knowledge of:

  • The fundamental concepts of PRINCE2 Agile®.
  • The use of agile methods in project management.
  • The integration of agile techniques into the rigorous management processes of PRINCE2®.

This comprehensive PRINCE2 Agile® training is ideal for anyone looking to grow in the field of project management by adopting an agile and flexible approach. You will gain a deep understanding of agile methods while remaining faithful to the well-defined processes and responsibilities of PRINCE2®. By the end of the training, you will be ready to take the PRINCE2 Agile® Foundation and Practitioner exams and apply this knowledge to real-world projects to improve their efficiency and flexibility.
