Is project experience required before PRINCE2 Foundation?
No. PRINCE2 Foundation is accessible to profiles without prior project experience. It lays the vocabulary and the method. For PRINCE2 Practitioner, a few months of project experience is highly recommended to fully leverage the training.
PMP or PRINCE2: which to choose?
PMP is more recognised internationally (USA, Asia, global international organisations), PRINCE2 is more present in European administrations and British organisations. Many profiles follow both according to their client context. In Geneva, the UN and international organisations accept both, while Swiss cantonal administrations often favour PRINCE2.
Does PRINCE2 Agile replace Scrum certifications?
No. PRINCE2 Agile combines PRINCE2 with Agile approaches on the governance and structure side. Scrum certifications (PSM, PSPO) remain dedicated to the Scrum framework specifically. Many profiles follow both types of certifications to cover project governance and Agile practices.
